Evoe is a small studio in Lisbon where three artisans crochet every bag by hand from organic cotton and raffia.
No two pieces are identical, each takes between nine and twenty hours, and every collection is released as a numbered drop.

The process
From yarn to finished bag.
Every piece passes through the same four steps and the same pair of hands, from the dye bath to the number on the label.
Step 1
From yarn
Organic cotton or raffia, dyed in small baths so every colour matches.
Step 2
Crochet
Worked by hand, stitch by stitch, over nine to twenty hours.
Step 3
Assembly
Lining, straps and hardware are fitted and every edge is whipped by hand.
Step 4
Finished bag
Blocked, numbered and photographed before it is sent to you.
